My experience:
The Real Tea Gel Mask Lavender by Skinfood brand is one of those masks that contains pieces of the shredded plant in the gel. I like it a lot but it is great not only because it looks nice but because it does something amazing to my skin!
The sheet of this mask is made of hydrogel, mesh and plant particles and is soaked in a lot of essence that has light tea brew color to it. The essence is completely transparent, runny and smells of lavender. The scent of this is heavenly. I do not appreciate lavender in body products but when it comes to the skin care I like it a lot. The hydrogel is protected by 2 layers of plastic, transparent and white ones. The mask is split into 2 pieces for the bottom and top parts of the face.
The fit of the sheet is good for my face frame. You see it very often that the hydrogel masks are nearly always fitting any type of the face better than a regular cotton or felt fabric sheet. I usually apply the bottom piece first so that the top part will overlap it preventing it from sliding down my face. Overall the way this mask is cut reminds me of the MISSHA Super Aqua Cell Renew Snail Hydro Gel.
Once the mask is on my face it tends to move around for first 5 minutes but then it adheres and I can not even move it with my fingers until the time I have to peel it off my face. The average wear time with this one is 20-30 minutes. After that the edges start drying out and poke the already sensitive skin under my eyes. Once the mask is off I am left with baby smooth skin witha trace of stickiness. This disappears after 20 minutes and my skin is looking glowy, radiant and brightened. The texture spots are as good as gone. I do not have any need to hydrate my face but I still apply my moisturizer over my face. Overall a great mask to have for those days when your skin is dry and dull. This one definitely saves the day!
Pros:
+ Paraben, Sulfate and Alcohol free
+ Contains Niacinamide and Lactobacillus Ferment
+ Amazing fragrance
+ Pleasant fit and adherence of the sheet
+ Great at brightening and hydrating skin
+ Evens out skin tone and calm irritated spots
+ Good for all skin types
+ Cruelty free
Cons:
– Contains fragrance
– Has a mesh layer that sometimes irritates my skin (around the edges of the mask)
– Runny essence
