My experience:
BANILA CO Dear Hydration Sleeping Mask was a blind buy and I don't regret it. It has been quite tough to find it lately but I hope it will be back in stock soon so I could get the refill jar by the summer. I absolutely fell in love with this product. Since my most favorite night sleeping mask by MF has been discontinued I was on an active hunt for a replacement. After trying out all of the Laneige sleeping packs I was still not sure wether to get the lavender mask from them or not. I took a gamble and decided to try out the BANILA freshly released item and OMG...
first of all, many may not like it's scent and texture. I am absolutely in love with both. I love lavender in my night time routine and this baby ticks the box having that wonderful relaxing scent. The texture of the mask is very odd. It is bouncy and granular, like those brain freeze drinks with tons of crushed ice in it. To be honest, it looks like it wasn't mixed well and started separating at some point. You can scoop it with your fingers and it won't melt in your hand until you start spreading it over the face. Container holds 100grams of product in it and comes with a lovely scoop.
Mask itself is semi-translucent. Pea size amount is perfect for one application. One thing for sure is that it glides on the skin like a butter. BANILA CO Dear Hydration Sleeping Mask is VERY hydrating with zero finish on my oily skin. Finally no stickiness when coming in contact with the pillow!!! And may I mention that beautiful herbal scent it has...Mmmm.... Beware, the fragrance is added and it is vaguely familiar, almost like relaxing lavender bath oil from Jo Malone. I just can't get enough of it.
Final thoughts? Well, it is beautiful as a sleeping mask, and , ta-da-ta-daaa a very much awesome as a daily moisturizer for oily skin in the winter as well. All because it locks in moisture so well and prevents my skin getting oily during the day. Non-greasy, not sticky, not irritating, smells divine. I got more than I hoped from this product so it is highly recommended to all skin types. Requires SPF application over it. Does not pill as other sleeping masks. Great soothing and skin smoothing over the course of last weeks using it twice daily. I am totally impressed with it!!! And I need more 🙂
