My experience:
Elizabeth Grant Wonder Effect Retinol Day Cream is a great way to introduce retinol ingredient to your skincare routine without reaching for the big guns yet ( which, FIY, without proper use cause skin peeling and potentially more damage than good). I have hit my 4th decade this year and I am happy to report that at this point my anti-aging care is not solely built around retinol. I focus mainly on hydrating and pore care and introduced myself to retinol years ago without knowing it. Now that I am more cautious buyer, I am glad to report that I found the perfect product for cutting my AM routine by half!
The Elizabeth Grant Wonder Effect Retinol Day Cream is what it says. It is a day cream, skin active and SPF in one. What's not to love? Packed with algae extracts, Coenzyme Q-10, hydrators, peptides, vitamins A and E is a nutritious cocktail for the skin. I am considering it as a powerful treatment because it works like one on my skin. Major selling point for me was that it is literally became my 2nd and last step in my skin care routine after my spray on Vitamin C toner from Andalou Naturals. Spray, apply EG cream and go to work is officially my mantra now!
The cream is white and looks thick when it comes out from the tube. Once you spread it over the skin it turnes more into gel and absorbs entirely within 10 minutes. After full absorption there is zero cast on the skin. It also leaves zero residue. My skin feels soft and moisturized and has satin finish to it. I don't have any sensitization issues from this product which is super cool considering that I react with breakouts to a of retinol products and AHA acids.
As for the results I definitely see noticeable improvement in fine lines around my mouth and on my forehead. My skin is not aging as it is supposed to and thanks to my hormone shifts lately it's been not doing well at all. I got rapid increase in pore depth and my moisture levels in the skin were on and off. At one point of the day I would have a perfect skin and 5 hours later I was looking like a prune or 50-year old chain smoker. Thank's to the super neat skincare line that addresses the hormonal changes in combination with this EG day cream, my skin is back on track! Can't recommend this enough. I wouldn't use it in the summer though due to the much higher UV index happening in the area where I live. It is perfect for the gloomy winter though 🙂
