Today I am reviewing the It’s real squeeze mask with the Green tea by Innisfree. This sheet mask is an affordable and quite good quality sheet mask suitable for for the daily use.
Claims from the manufacturer:
Soothing and moisturizing effects of green tea extracts.
Jeju green complex consists of green tea, tangerine, white lotus, camelia, and orchid.
Three-layered sheet for longer moisturizing and great adherence.
Directions from the manufacturer:
After washing your face, gently apply toner on your face to even out your skin texture. Then, apply the mask over your entire face, avoiding your eye and lip areas. Remove the mask after 10-20 minutes and gently pat your face to allow the remaining formula to absorb into your skin.
Ingredients:
Water, Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, Alcohol, Citrus Paradisi (Grapefruit) Fruit Extract, Betaine, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Xanthan Gum, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Propanediol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Sodium Hyaluronate, Citrus Unshiu Peel Extract, Orchid Extract, Camellia Japonica Leaf Extract, Opuntia Coccinellifera Fruit Extract, Citrus Aurantium Bergamia (Bergamot) Fruit Extract, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Fruit Extract, Citrus Tangerina (Tangerine) Extract, Lactic Acid, Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C), Citric Acid, Disodium EDTA, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance
My experience:
To me this mask feels like it is lacking something. Yes it is nice and hydrating, it meets it’s claims, there is a nice fragrance to it. But yet, something is still missing to make it my go to product.
Once you open the packet you smell the hint of the freshly brewed green tea. The mask in the pack is made of thin cotton sheet that is slightly rough to the touch. I applied it onto my face and noticed the cooling effect of the essence immediately. The big downside of the sheet for me is the fit of this mask. I have quite prominent nose and no matter how I try to push it down around my nose, the sheet keeps lifting up. Even when I wear my glasses over it it seems to have air around the nose bridge area.
I ended up cutting the mask down the lines of the nose flap so that it fits my face beter. The sheet has 2 cuts on the shin area which I felt were very necessary.
After full 15 minutes I took the mask off and was left with baby smooth skin that was moderately hydrated. The leftover essence was completely absorbed by my skin after a minute. I did enjoy the final result but there wasn’t immediate ” WOW this stuff is awesome” going on as with some of my favorite masks. Overall a simple sheet mask not without it’s flaws. It does what it promises and has an affordable price tag to it. Applying make-up over it is possible but on that day I didn’t do it.
Pros:
+ Affordable price
+ Nice natural green tea scent
+ This sheet mask meets it’s claims
+ Paraben and sulfate free formula
+ Suitable for oily and combination skin types
Cons:
– Sheet needs altering for my face shape
– Contains quite a lot of alcohol and fragrance
– Not suitable for dry and sensitive skins for a long term use
– Not an easy to buy product in EU webshops
