My experience:
As I said in an earlier post, I’ve been on quite the quest this year for a new summer skin care routine. My face has been going through a lot of changes and turns more oily through-ought the summer and was feeling normal/combination this last winter. I reacted quite poorly to such massive changes so I decided to invest into a whole bunch new products with very light textures in order to offer the most lightweight textures to my skin to try to keep it happy and looking more normal than oily. Thanks to the NEOGEN Glacial Magic Pore Gel and other 2 products that I will talk about later in my future skin care posts, my dreams are no longer dreams at all.
The reality is that after seeing my skin everything from flaky to leaking oil I am so happy with the final result that I wanted to share it with you guys. NEOGEN Glacial Magic Pore Gel is water-based moisturizing gel that effectively minimizes pores. I use it in combination with the NEOGEN's Code 9 Canadian clay and this duo is my must-have for keeping my skin at bay. The texture of the gel is very lightweight and moisturizing. It is entirely transparent and has a lovely fresh scent to it. It smells almost like clean cotton sheets.
Cream glides effortlessly onto my skin and sinks in within seconds. I love to layer it on my cheeks area which is noticeably more dry than my T-zone. In such manner I learned to control the amount of product I use. On some areas the less is more and on others extra layer won't do any harm. After several applications it is still very economic in use as you need the tiniest amount of it. After this I grab my SPF which is currently the make:prem with orange cap and I am good to go.
One major downside for me is that the tub is so large and I have to constantly dip into it leaving product exposed more that I want to. Contamination or not, but pump applicator for such light texture would be the best solution. Oh well, we don't always get the best from both worlds. I learned to decant it into an airless pump container and now I have a handy-dandy travel format. If i need refilling it I can just dip into the jar and continue enjoying it up until late September when it starts getting colder here. Stay tuned for other 2 skin care items that saved my skin from being oily this season.
