My experience:
Oh boy, was I in for a ride with this one. So many surprises in one mask! Once I took it out of the pack I first thought it was just regular black charcoal sheet what is quite popular nowadays. Nop! The mask itself was made from standard white stretchy cotton and had a plastic coating that needed to be removed once applied on the face.(B.t.w. it would be nice if it was to be mentioned in the directions part on the mask). The sheet was coated in black colored serum. Another surprise!
I was sniffing it like a hound before I could sense mild lavender fragrance. So one ingredient besides the water and charcoal is discovered! I applied it onto my face noticing how narrow the cutouts for the eyes and mouth were. Application process was short, mask went on perfectly. Adherence was excellent. I did get the serum into my eye and it turned red immediately. I gently patted my eye off with cotton ball soaked in water and the unpleasant burning feeling was quickly gone.
I kept this mask on for 20 full minutes but it felt like I could go much longer with it on my face. I didn’t want to take the gamble and removed it according to what it said on the pack. While wearing it I managed to scare my hubby so he is not speaking to me now.
After I removed it off my face it had residue of black particles all over my face. According to the manufacturer I was supposed to leave it like that. No thank you! So I rinsed the black goo off and inspected my face. My skin was much smoother. I get the same feeling after my peeling by Philosophy. Something in it is definitely of acid origin! In terms of brightening, it lightened my face a bit, but not much.
Do I like this product? Not sure yet. We’ll see tomorrow if I get any breakouts from it as it said on the pack it is not suitable for acne prone skin.
