A while ago I have stumbled across this sheet mask on the bol.com and wanted to try it out because so far there were no pumpkin masks in my arsenal. Pumpkin mask by BLING POP looked like a good way to expand my masking horizons.
Claims from the manufacturer:
Contained pumpkin extract that helps to reveal skin to looks smoother, younger, radiant and revitalized.
(Could grammar be any better on the packaging….)
Directions from the manufacturer:
Smooth the skin texture with a toner after washing face. Apply mask onto face, smoothing and spreading evenly onto facial contours. Remove the mask after 15-20 minutes. Gently massage any excess essence into the skin.
Ingredients:
Water, Glycerin, Methylpropanediol, Cucurbita Pepo (Pumpkin) Fruit Extract, Paeonia Lactiflora Root Extract, Convallaria Majalis Bulb/Root Extract, Magnolia Kobus Branch/Flower/Leaf Extract, Lilium Candidum Flower Extract, Ipomoea Purpurea Extract, Butylene Glycol, 1,2-Hexanediol, Polysorbate 80, Ethylhexylglycerin, Xanthan Gum, Disodium EDTA, Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E), Arginine, Sodium Hyaluronate, Fragrance, Phenoxyethanol
My experience:
I’ve officially tried it all :))) At least I think I did. Tomato, potato, snail mucin, kelp, seaweed, bean, beet, carrot, you name it. Been there, done that! Only the pumpkin mask was left on my botanical “to do (mask) list”.
I stumbled across the bling pop mask on the bol.com and was wondering whether to try it or not. Guess what I’ve decided? The pumpkin mask comes in the bright colorful girly packaging which catches the eye even across the room. Upon opening the pack, there is a slight flowery-fruity scent that is somewhat strong but after 10 minutes you don’t notice it anymore. The sheet is made of thick cotton which is surprisingly soft.
Application of the sheet was easy-breezy. I was left with some extra folds here and there but it staid on my face the entire 15 minutes that I was cooking pasta. Once I removed the sheet there was some essence left on my skin which felt slightly oily. The second thing I noticed was that my skin felt tighter and firmer.
I can not say anything about the smoothing and brightening since it was too dark and my skin was in pretty good condition that day. It did feel hydrated, but not too much. Since I applied this mask late in the evening I didn’t mind the oily’ish feel and just put my night serum over it for extra conditioning of my skin. This sheet mask did not break me out.
Pros:
+ Alcohol, sulfate and paraben free formula
+ Contains vitamine E and flower extracts
+ Suitable for oily, combination, normal and dry skin types
+ Clean fruity-flowery fragrance
+ Hydrating and plumping on my skin
+ Good fit of the sheet on my face
Cons:
– Contains fragrance
– Careful if you have sensitive skin, may irritate you
– Price differences per sheet mask are very big
