Claims from the manufacturer:
Real Barrier Aqua Soothing Gel Cream, a light weight, quickly absorbed, cooling cream-gel formula containing 5 different forms of Hyaluronic Acids (Hyaluronic Acid, Hydrolyzed Glucosaminoglycans, Sodium Hyaluronate Crosspolymer, Sodium Hyaluronate and Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid). These 5 ingredients are included in the formula at varying amounts and each has its’ own function, all of which aid in the delivery of moisture to the various layers of the skin.
Infused with specialty ingredients including Centella Asiatica to help soothe and calm irritations caused by stresses from the environment. It also contains Panthenol to calm, Madecassoside to moisturize and Allantoin to soothe.
As an extra benefit, it contains Dual Ceramides to help strengthen the skin barrier and seal in hydration for a longer time period so the skin does not feel parched. Leaves no greasy residue.
A Clinical Study showed that Aqua Soothing Gel Cream, when used as directed, helps cool, soothe and protect. And, because it contains Xylitol it quickly reduces surface skin temperature.
Directions from the manufacturer:
After cleansing with Real Barrier Cleansing Foam and then toning with Aqua Soothing Toner, scoop up a small amount of Gel Cream, transfer to fingertips and apply to face with an upward and outward motion. My experience:
Real Barrier Aqua Soothing Gel Cream was an impulse buy after I've tried their cream in sample tube. It is usually somewhat pricey but I managed to snatch it for 1/2 the price and got some free goodies at it came in limited edition set with free travel bag, miniature of the toner and limited edition sheet mask. The original idea was to use it myself but my hubby had confiscated it from me as he loved it so much. So now, after we had shared the first jar (just got it in the mail, yay) we are going to be on the second tub of this great moisturizer.
I wish this came in larger quantity. Considering that there are now 2 people using it, the timespan of this is max 2 months if we stretch it out. What is interesting though, it fits different skin types perfectly. Say whaat? My skin is oily and my husband's very dry and flaking around the nose. After religiously applying it for 2 weeks we both saw improvements in texture. His skin got less flaky and mine was less red and irritated. Both faces remained properly hydrated through-ought the day. What makes this particular product extra special for me is that I can finally take one moisturizer on a vacation instead of dragging separates "for him" and "for her".
The texture of Real Barrier Aqua Soothing Gel Cream is very light and dense. It is semi-opaque, white , looks very dense at the first glance but turns into water once it comes in contact with the skin. The finish is very neutral and more towards the matte/satin end. You can't see or feel the product on your skin once it has entirely absorbed. SPF layers beautifully on top and my overall impression is that ATOPALM (manufacturer) have worked their butts off and came out with an amazing range that is super skin-friendly.
I strolgly advise you to try cream(s) from Real Barrier. They all are amazing! Once you get down to the textures of each cream, all of them are different yet act similar on the skin. Intense Moisture version is obviously most intense and nourishing of them all but the Cicarelief is very similar to the Real Barrier Aqua Soothing Gel Cream except it is more pink in color and dried into a matte finish on me. I will sum-up all three creams from Real Barrier and will do a comparison of the textures on my Instagram so sign up and watch out for new posts.
