My experience:
I’ve first tried the Thank You Farmer Sun Project Shimmer Sun Essence SPF30 in a sample and fell in love with it. After some searching online I decided to get it from the YESSTYLE store as it was on sale for 15€. After weeks passed, it got into my mail and I used it daily throughout the entire month of September. I’ve gotten through half of the tube in one month’s time and had to repurchase it for the winter. Now that my new tube has arrived I can actually review it for you today.
The texture of this sunscreen is very thin. It is almost milky but not runny. If you look at it in the sun, you see smallest particles reflecting the sun light resposible for that beautiful glow that I was looking for. I’ve tried some shimmery sunscreens before but none of them delivered this kind of result. MISSHA Flash-Up Sun Tension pact left me with sparkles and white cast on my face whilst DIOR Capture Totale Solaire had only SPF20 and left me with a greasy mess. Until the TYF came along with their shimmery goodness.
The pigment added into this SPF cream is baby-pink and finely milled. There is a flowery scent to the cream that gives off a granny vibe at first but dissipates in minutes. I give it 2 minutes to absorb before I proceed with my make-up. 90% of the time I just apply it as the last step and don’t cover it up with BB cream or any other foundation.
The way the product sits on my skin is vary natural. It looks like my skin is glowing from the inside and to me it looks very healthy. My skin is also very smooth and silky to the touch for an entire day. There are 5 different UV filters added to the cream. Don’t ask me which are chemical and which are mechanical because I wouldn’t be able to answer that question. All I know, I forgive this thing for having alcohol in it as it is perfect for me in terms of glow and coverage. If you have not tried it before, order a sample to see if that type of warm glow will suit your face. If you are a matte-foundation-kind-of-girl, you can use it as a base t soften up the matte(plastered) look from some heavy duty foundations.
