My experience:
SpaLife Natural Matcha Tea Time Facial Mask is the first mask that I've ever tried with very thick gel essence in it. See the images below to understand what I am talking about. The packaging is very cute and easy to handle. Since the size of the pack is 1/3 smaller than average sheet mask, it fits in travel cosmetic pouches with ease making it a great holiday companion.
The sheet mask is made of thick cellulose that is feeling very stiff. Normally such mask do not adhere entirely to your face but this one is again an exception. Sheet is cut quite well and has 2 slits on the chin for the ease of fitting it onto the face. The essence is transparent and highly scented. Fragrance of the green tea lingers on my face through-ought the entire wearing time. It takes about 20-25 minutes for the mask to start getting loose on the face meaning that essence is reaching it's drying point.
Texture of the essence is wonderful. It feels like MISSHA Super Aqua Ultra Water-Full Clear Cream and acts like it on the skin too. It is goopy and firm yet gets absorbed by the skin extremely well. I love that the entire time the mask was on my face I felt great cooling sensation. Not to be compared with cooling effect from eucalyptus or peppermint extracts. Skin was just relaxing like I was getting some cryotherapy 🙂 Brand recommends to lay down and enjoy butI absolutely didn't follow the first rule of laying flat. Who got time for that 😀
After removing the mask my face had some residue of the gel on my skin which needed some vigorous patting in. After 5 minutes there was no trace of cream-gel-essence being there in the first place. My face hasn't felt that hydrated for a while now. Winter, central heating and low humidity took care of that. In the end I am super happy with the way this one turned out. Once again SpaLife did make a wonderful sheet mask. If only the sheet quality would be a bit more gentle. Anyhow, great for everyone with dehydration issues. People who are not fan of strong green tea scent, steer away from this one.
