My experience:
In my experience NOHJ is a brand that is very inconsistent in it’s products. Some have a great formulation and are really good when it comes to being skin-friendly and some of them are just a huge messy mess. The Superfood Blueberry Mask unfortunately belongs to the category number two.
The packaging of this mask is very nice. That’s about it on the positive points. Sheet of the mask is very thick and stiff and has that papery feel that a lot of very cheap masks have. IT doesn’t want to stay on my face at all so I was obligated to stay put in a horizontal position while testing it out. The fit of the mask is very narrow on the cheeks leaving half of them exposed. Overall adherence is extremely poor.
When it comes to the scent at first it is very pleasant and berry-smoothy like but after a minute or two you start smelling something that remotely resemble the industrial glue. It is very strong and artificial and I was sneezing the whole time from it. Once the sheet was on my face and I was on the couch I felt that my skin cools off rapidly. It is a pleasant sensation but I’ve learned from the past that there is only one ingredient that can cause such rapid change-alcohol. I reached for the package and yep, it was right there on the list. And not the harmless kind.
I took the mask off after 10 minutes because I couldn’t stand the smell of it any longer. My skin was somewhat hydrated. There was no sign of brightening or anything else happening except that my face was semi-matte and somehow sticky all over. Would I purchase this mask again? Hell, no!
