My experience:
As I've already mentioned in the beginning this is my 2nd jar of this gorgeous mask. The scent of this is so invigorating and throws me back to our trip to Italy every time. We stayed in the hotel where they served home-made jam for your toasts and crepes for breakfasts. Yum!
Consistency of this mask is jelly-like. It is a bit tacky to the touch once you feel it straight from the jar and gets more sticky the longer you keep it on your face. I always keep it on for 10 minutes without following the steps of rubbing and scrubbing and it washes off effortlessly. If I keep it for longer it needs some scrubbing off to get the tacky gel off my face. Luckily the little grainy and fibrous particles of the fruit in this mask make it quite a simple task to achieve.
After I wash it off my skin is velvety-smooth and plump. It definitely evens out my skin tone except for the times if I was out in the sun for the whole day. In that case it actually stings my skin and makes it flushed. Since acai fruit is quite acidic, it irritates the sunburned skin instead of rejuvenating it.
I tend to gravitate towards the Amazonian Acai Energising Radiance Mask on the days when I forgot to do my evening skin-care routine or on the days when we have rainy weather. It lifts my mood and my face 🙂 Overall this is an excellent product which meets it's all claims. I will keep buying it again and again. I also appreciate a lot that the superfood masks are 100% cruelty free.
*Little tip for the new buyer. If you like the body shop masks as much as I do, try getting the "At-Home Facial Mask Experience kit" which retails for 80€ for 5 full-size jars of product. Unfortunately this mask line never runs on offer in NL and by investing into the kit can save some money by paying for 4 masks and getting 1 free.
